T:SCC Season 2 DVD Available For Pre-Order

Published by Derek at April 17th, 2009 in News

Amazon.com has begun listing the second season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for pre-order on DVD and BluRay later this year. No word yet on special features (though Steve and I have our fingers crossed for some good ones) but the artwork for the set looks great (if it’s finalized) and will most likely be the art featured on the BluRay as well.

Release date is unknown at this time though I’d keep your eyes open for a late Summer/early Fall release, same as last year. Price is a little higher this time due to it being a full season set, but that doesn’t make it any less worth it. Remember, ordering from SkyNext supports this site and this podcast, so what’re you waiting for? It’s win/win! Pre-order your Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on DVD & BluRay today!

SkyNext 28 + Saturday Finale Viewing

Published by Derek at April 11th, 2009 in News

Hey guys, hope you all are still trying to wrap your minds around what happened last night and loved it as much as we did. Let’s hope that season 3 announcement comes sooner rather than later.

Just a few things to catch you up on; had a lot of emails regarding Chronicle 28 of SkyNext. I’m not sure what happened with that episode, it worked fine for a while but seems to have become unavailable. I’ll look into that and hopefully get it back up and running tonight.

Thanks so much to all of you who participated in the Thursday and Friday night watch parties from all T:SCC communities. Judging by our email, facebook and twitter there were about 500 of you that joined in the fun and watched several episodes. Keep it up! Head over to FOX.com/Terminator and keep watching.

And if you just can’t get enough of that finale, let’s watch it again tonight, shall we? Tonight at 10PM EST (9PM Central) get the party started and load up “Born To Run” over on FOX.com/Terminator and get on our forums and live chat and talk about it! What’d you like? Where are they going? And could this be the end? Meet up with other fans and discuss! And don’t forget about services like Amazon and iTunes where you can download the episode for yourself and watch it again and again. You all have a voice, and a hand in this. No fate but what we make.

Friday Night Watch Party!

Published by Derek at April 10th, 2009 in News

Wow! What a finale! What a better time to watch some old episodes after that epic send off to the second season.

Don’t forget tonight, Friday, April 10th at 11pm EST (10pm Central) get people you know involved in going to FOX.com/Terminator and watching some episodes that didn’t get the recognition they deserved in original broadcast like “Desert Cantos” or “Some Must Watch…” or go back and watch “Samson & Delilah”, it doesn’t matter what as long as people are doing it and showing FOX they care about the show.

Do it all weekend if you want, as many times as you want, it doesn’t matter. Just show some numbers on their counter and let them know that this show needs a win.

This isn’t a cry of desperation, just one of fun. Go have some and tell some people to join in and watch some great television. Pass this on to anyone you know, get the word out.

If you’re looking for some places to talk to other fans while you watch, don’t forget FOX’s forums for the show, and our forums which has a live chat!

Be a Hero - Be Informed

Published by Derek at April 7th, 2009 in News

autism

April is World Autism Awareness Month. If you only do one thing online this month, do something that matters. Support Autism Speaks and the upcoming Walk Now for Autism Now.

Our shows will be talking about this throughout the rest of April and asking for your support in this amazing cause. Specifically with our friend Kim and her team, whose goal is set at $1,000. We’d like to see that amount shattered and reach well over $3,000 by the end of the month. Donations are a minimum of $20, next to nothing for a cause this great. So show your support, be informed about autism, and help out as you can by clicking the image above or one of these links. Thanks guys!

Published by Derek at December 22nd, 2008 in News

The very first Sarah Connor Chronicles soundtrack hits shelves December 23rd, and while I’ve had a copy in my possession for a little while now, I’ve failed to get out an early review for those wary on purchasing the album. Sufficed to say, don’t let my review sway you. BUY IT immediately!

But if you’re still interested to see what little old me has to say, check it out after the jump.

Welcome to SkyNext 2.0!

Published by Derek at December 12th, 2008 in News

The SkyNext Podcast was a fast decision back in December of 2007 between Steve and I, and as such we never really got to work on the website like we wanted to before the series premiere of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

With things starting to slow down around here we felt it’d be a great time to streamline our site with our sister podcasts, The 10th Wonder & Starkville’s House of El, to get ready for the ready for the 2nd half of season 2 and beyond in 2009.

A big thanks to Graham, Jason, and Michael for all their help with this one. Be sure to comment below and let us know what you think!

Update: #21 AAC Complications - #22 Release

Published by Derek at November 24th, 2008 in News

Hey guys, our normal “wtf?” message here, seems like our server isn’t the biggest fan of us. If you downloaded the AAC of SkyNext before 8am (central) time Monday morning, it’d probably be in your best effort to reacquire it. SOME folks are saying that the episode freezes, while others aren’t having any problem. At any rate everything should be fixed now. Don’t let the lack of AAC fool you as we tried to get this episode up as fast as possible due to the length.

SkyNext #22 was not recorded last week for “STH@12P” due to Thanksgiving holidays and schedule conflicts. The episode, which will be out early this weekend, will cover both last week’s installment, and this week’s “Self Made Man”. Thanks for your patience, hope everyone had safe and happy holidays!
