Greetings and salutations.
I just wanted to say congratulations on your show, and that I’m very glad I finally found it on iTunes. Those five star reviews that you mentioned on this installment did indeed get me interested.
I saw the unaired pilot way back when, and have been looking forward to the SCC ever since. I’m not sure where I fall in the whole Brian-Austin-Green-of-Debatable-90210-Fame-is-John-Connor debate, but if he has a bar code on his arm, that may substantiate your theory. I can’t recall for sure, but I seem to remember flipping through the novelization of T2 and reading about Future John being in one of the SkyNet work camps, and maybe even starting the resistance there. So maybe that’s a clue.
Keep up the great work, and good luck with those SkyNext work camps.
Greetings.
Good job with the show and keep up the good work.
About the T-888 model. From what I can remember back from the 1st movie is the the arnold model was a T-800 and in the original poster for the 1st movie on his sunglasses it says ‘CSM101′ or Cyberdyne Systems Model 101. He was also a T-800 in the 2nd moive, but int he 3rd movie he was a T-850, I think because of the things in his abdomen. Can’t remember what they were called i’ll have to look that up. The T-888 model is named that way because of the 3 processors on the cranium of the robot. There was a video I saw on youtube, or somewhere on the net that a producer or make up artist says and shows the cranium with 3 circles on it being the 3 processors. He says if one goes, at least there’s still two more and so on. Hope that helps.
Can’t wait for next weeks episode and podcast!
I just wanted to say great job on the podcast guys. Also I have a question, is it Jonathan Jackson or Jashua Jackson going to play Kyle? You said Jonathan at first but the next 2 times you said Joshua. Just wondering, not a big deal. Thanks.
Jonathan Simbulan is dead on. I suspect that the changes in series number and the corresponding changes in capability may have something to do with the changes in the time line when Judgment Day is delayed. Arnold in T1 and T2 both came from the same future. After Cyberdyne was destroyed the future was changed and Judgment Day was delayed.
This actually works against our heroes to an extent. If the overall tech level on Judgment Day is higher each time it’s delayed then presumably Skynet has more of a head start from a tech standpoint, and thus the tech level in 2027 is higher. Cromartie is clearly stronger than the T-800’s we see in T1 and T2, tearing apart the bank vault door with little more difficulty than “Arnold” had breaking through the much thinner factory door at the end of T1. Additionally, I doubt that Jim Cameron’s T-800’s included the (absurd, in my opinion) capability of the head remote controlling the body from miles away.
